The New York Jets got some help at running back, acquiring RB Lee Suggs from Cleveland in exchange for CB Strait. The Jets are very thin at RB with the career of veteran back Curtis Martin, who is currently on the on the physically-unable-to-perform list because of a lingering knee injury. Suggs was a 4th round pick by the Browns in 2003, while Strait was a 3rd round pick by the Jets in 2004.....

With Clemons out a while, the Redskins were on the verge of signing outside linebacker Jeff Posey, who played for assistant coaches Gregg Williams, Jerry Gray and Danny Smith in Buffalo.....

Lelie was supposed to receive $800,000 this year - $700,000 in salary and $100,000 for an offseason workout bonus. Hoping to force a trade, Lelie did not participate in the team's offseason program, surrendering his bonus and leaving him with $700,000.....

Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells' patience with Terrell Owens' sore left hamstring appears to be wearing thin... Parcells said the team continues to search for a trade that would bring it a veteran receiver.....
