49ers get picks for RFA WR..

Updating an earlier report, those pesky Washington Redskins, who have led the league in signing restricted free agents the past few years, are at it again. The Redskins have sent a 3rd round pick in 2006 and a 4th rounder in 2007 to San Francisco for restricted free agent WR Brandon Lloyd. Lloyd has been tendered such that the 49ers would be owed a #1 pick if they didn’t match an offer sheet signed by Lloyd, however, they compromised and accepted the two picks from the Redskins.....

St. Louis has signed former Minnesota unrestrited free agent FS Corey Chavous, while Arizona has signed DT Kendrick Clancy, who played last fall with the Giants

Cleveland became the first team to sign an unrestricted free agent when the Browns signed former New Orleans C LeCharles Bentley, former Atlanta OT Kevin Shaffer and, Joe Jurevicius, who got a four-year deal, has played in three Super Bowls, including last season for the Seattle Seahawks.
