ALL I GOT WAS A BIRD

When will the Falcons sit Michael Vick so that Matt Schaub can audition for a 2007 starting job, either with them or someone that might trade for him. And will someone tell Vick he shouldn't use his fingers to give fans the 'dirty bird?'....

Green Bay has placed DB Will Blackmon on injured reserve. Blackmon, a 4th round pick at the 2006 draft, has a rib injury; the former Boston College DB and WR played in only four games after breaking a foot in training camp. Meanwhile, the Packers will reportedly start rookie second-round pick Abdul Hodge at MLB when Green Bay plays at Seattle on Monday night. Hodge replaces Nick Barnett who is out with a broken hand.....

As noted prior to Sunday's actionm we won't know which team will come out of the weekend sitting on the top pick at the 2007 draft until after Monday night’s game between Green Bay and Seattle. And even then we may not know. In fact, by our unofficial tally, if the the Seahawks beat the Packers later this evening, Detroit and Arizona, both of which have just two wins so far this year, would be tied in terms of their opponents, combined W-L percentages. However, if Green Bay wins tonight Arizona would move into the #1 spot, at least for this week, as the Cardinals opponents' combined W-L percentage would drop below that of Detroit. What we do know, whatever happens tonight in Seattle, Oakland, the NFL’s other two-win club, would have the third pick were the draft held today, while Houston would pick 4th and Cleveland would move up to 5th. We'll have the full updated if the draft were held today opening round selection order after tonight's game......

Former Wake Forest and Carolina Panthers receiver Ricky Proehl has agreed to, but not signed, a contract to play for the Colts, NBC reported during its Sunday night game.....

Dolphins assistant coach Charlie Baggett has interviewed for the head coaching job at Michigan State University and is considered a finalist.....
