When it comes to free agency, Denver is in the hurry-up

The Dolphins weren't pleased that flagship station 790 the Ticket and Dolphin Digest reported Wednesday that Owens visited the team last week, saying the information was wrong. 790's O.J. McDuffie said he stands by the story, which has been disputed by espn.com insider Len Pasquarelli. Dolphin Digest has since retracted the story. . . . The Dolphins, who worked out QB Tim Couch in January, have expressed no interest since, but haven't ruled him out, either.....

Jets' head coach Eric Mangini continued to add to his staff of assistants yesterday, agreeing to terms with former NFL linebacker Bryan Cox and University of Michigan defensive coordinator Jim Herrmann.
The 37-year-old Cox, who played with the Jets from 1998 through 2000, is expected to assist defensive line coach Denny Marcin with the line and Herrmann is expected to become the linebackers coach, replacing Bob Sutton, who's the new defensive coordinator.
It is also believed that Jimmy Raye will rejoin the Jets' staff in some sort of offensive capacity, most likely as an advisor...
